The central message from GEMM 2012 was clear. The last decade has been about standard setting and creating awareness. The next ten years must be a period of implementation. GEMM 2013 was organized around the challenge of how communities, companies, NGOs and governments interconnect to answer the question: “Mining for whom and to what end?”
