About GEMM

The annual invitational GEMM Dialogue has become an important global dialogue of thought leaders and practitioners that brings together diverse communities of interest to identify, explore and work together to respond to sustainability challenges in the mineral sector. GEMM’s structured dialogues and web platform supports insight and innovation that leads to solutions.

Since 2011, under the leadership of Glenn Sigurdson and Jessica Bratty, with their colleagues Jim Cooney, Chris Tucker and our GEMM Interns, the GEMM space has brought together more than 500 participants from 15 countries globally. Many have helped shape and lead discussions, contributing expertise and insights.

Until 2014, GEMM was housed at the Beedie School of Business, Simon Fraser University, which provided significant start-up financial and organizational support.   In September 2014, a new partnership was built with RESOLVE, a Washington DC based solutions focused organization with extensive expertise and experience in the sector, has been an active participant and leader in GEMM since its inception.
